Environmental Cleanliness Tips
Lemon Uses

Furniture polish
  Use 1/2 cup of lemon juice and 1 cup of olive oil mixed together in a clean spray bottle. Make
  sure to shake bottle before each use. Apply a small amount to a clean cloth. Spread over
  furniture evenly. Use a clean cloth to polish dry.
Clean copper
  Use lemon juice to clean copper bottom pots and pans. Cut a lemon in half and dip into salt to
  clean spots off the copper pots and pans.
Clean counter top stains
  Allow lemon juice to sit on the stain for a few minutes. Scrub area with Baking Soda. Don't let
  the lemon juice to sit for too long.        
Clean linen and clothing stains
  Use lemon juice on white linens and clothing and allow to dry in the sun. Use as an alternative to
  bleach.
Freshen drains
  Use lemon juice and hot water to freshen drains. You can also use lemon or orange peels in
  your garbage disposal to freshen the smell.
Baking Soda Uses

Replacement dishwasher detergent
  Use 1 1/2 Tablespoons of Baking Soda mixed with 2 Tablespoons of Borax.
Clear dirt and grime out of your dishwasher
  Pour 1 cup of Baking Soda into your dishwasher and run it through the rinse cycle.
Degrease and deodorize
  Use 1/4 cup of Baking Soda, 1/2 cup of vinegar, mixed in 1 gallon of hot water in a clean      
  spray bottle.
Unclog drains
  Pour 1 cup of Baking Soda down the drain. Then pour 1 cup of hot vinegar (heated in the
  microwave). Let sit for about 5 minutes. Flush the drain with 2 quarts of hot water.
Whiten your white kitchen appliances
  Mix 1/4 cup of Baking Soda with a few cups of warm water. Wash down the outside of the
  white appliances and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Rinse with water and a clean cloth.
Deodorize shoes and closets
  Sprinkle Baking Soda into shoes and onto closet floors. You can do this on a weekly or
  monthly basis.
Vinegar Uses

All-purpose cleaner
  Use 1 part white vinegar to 1 part water. Mix in a clean spray bottle. This cleaner is most useful
  in the bathroom and kitchens. It not only disinfects but also deodorizes. The smell of vinegar
  vanishes once it dries. Never use vinegar on marble surfaces.
Remove water marks on wood tables
  Use 1 part white vinegar to 1 part olive oil. Rub on with a clean cloth into the watermarks with   
  the grain.
Natural fabric softener
  Add 1/2 cup of vinegar to your rinse cycle in place of fabric softener. This is extremely useful
  for families with sensitive skin.
